1) Website Use

Please note that if you browse and use this website you agree to comply and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use which sets out our relationship with you with regards to our website.

Please also read and familiarise yourself with our Privacy Policy  to ensure you understand that certain personal information may be requested and collected by us in order to facilitate our MM Club (should you elect to join) and fulfil your orders.

The content of the pages of www.metromum.com.au are for your general information and use only. They are subject to change without notice.

Metro Mum reserves the rights to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version of our Terms and Conditions will be posted on our website at all times.

2) Purchases at Metromum

By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.


You can place an order online as a guest or by creating a MM Club Account. You can also place an order offline by emailing your order to contact@metromum.com.au or calling 1300 360 560.

Once your order is placed online or offline you will be emailed an order confirmation via your nominated email address.

Please check your order confirmation to ensure your ordered items and quantity, contact and delivery details are correct. If you find an error on your order confirmation please contact our office immediately so that we can amend your order. Once your order is dispatched, your items ordered and delivery details cannot be changed. If you do not receive an order confirmation email, please contact our office.

MM Club and Reward Points

You can subscribe to our newsletter to receive exclusive offers and notifications of new products. By placing an order with MetroMum or registering as a customer you authorise us to send you promotional emails, exclusive sale offers and new product updates. You may unsubscribe from our newsletters at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter.

Please note that to earn reward points you must create a MM Club Account and be logged into your account at the time of checkout. If ordering offline be sure to advise that you are part of our MM Club Account at the time of ordering to claim your points.

Payment Methods

We accept payment online via our secure electronic payment system facilitated by Westpac Bank.

Payment is accepted via Mastercard, Visa and Paypal online. You can also elect to pay via Direct Deposit in which case your order confirmation will contain our bank account details for your electronic transfer, please quote your order number.  With Direct Deposit payments please note that stock is not set aside for you nor your order dispatched until payment is received by Metromum.

Out of Stock Items and Backorders

Metromum carries a large range of items for your shopping convenience. Most items are in stock, however due to demand and supplier availability at times item become out of stock or we need to order them to store for you (includes custom made items).

Please note that certain furniture brands may take up to 12 weeks to be delivered due to supplier shipments. You will be advised of estimated arrival dates of supplier shipments should you place a pre-order for furniture.

In the event of an out of stock item, your order will be placed on backorder and you be advised via email. You will then be given the opportunity to cancel your order, choose an alternate product, or wait for your order with an indication of time of its arrival being provided to you. Please note that sale and discontinued items cannot be backordered.


All prices stated on our website are in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of GST. MetroMum reserves the right to change product prices without notice. International orders, will have the GST amount deducted.

Discount Codes

If using a discount code or gift certificate code in conjunction with your order please enter your code at checkout. If you require assistance please contact our office. A discount code or gift certificate code deduction cannot be applied after your order has been placed or beyond its expiry date.

Order Cancellations
Your order can be cancelled at any time prior to dispatch. All order cancellations must be emailed or sent in writing. Your order is considered current unless cancelled via email or in writing by you. You will receive a confirmation of cancellation via email from MetroMum. Order cancellations for furniture, prams and large items will incur a 30% cancellation fee.

3) Exchange Policy

We have carefully selected all our products for their quality and want you to be happy with your purchase. However, if you  are not happy with your purchase for whatever reason please contact us via phone, email or Live Chat.

Exchanges will be happily given if we are contacted within 7 days of receipt of your product. Items being exchanged must be in resaleable condition with original labels and packaging intact, unused and unworn.

An additional delivery fee will be charged for the mailing out of the item being exchanged. The cost of returning the item for exchange is payable by you.

Metromum will not offer any refunds due to change of mind or an error on an order confirmation not identified by you prior to dispatch of goods.

Please note that Furniture, prams and sale items are not exchangeable and all sales are final.

4) Incorrect Items Received

If you believe that an item was received by you that was not the correct style or colour as described on our website and your order confirmation please contact us within 7 days of receipt.

We will check your order confirmation and if the item was sent in error, we will reimburse you the cost to post it back to us provided it is in brand new condition with its original packaging and labels attached, unused and unworn. You can elect to have the correct item sent out to you or can request a refund or exchange.

If items returned are not in their original condition including its packaging, we will not reimburse your postage costs or provide a refund in the event of cancellation.

5) Faulty Goods

All items are checked and packaged with care prior to dispatch. Should you believe an item received is faulty please contact us via phone, email or Live Chat to discuss the issue. You may be requested to provide photographs of any damaged items to assist in determining the fault. Alternatively, you may be directed to the manufacturers service department.

Faulty items must be returned within 7 days of receipt with their original labels and packaging intact. If an item is deemed faulty by the manufacturer or Metromum a replacement item may be provided or a full refund provided. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

Please note that MetroMum makes no warranties or representations of any kind for the products being offered on this website. Any warranties made are by the manufacturers themselves. Warranty periods vary depending on the individual product purchased.

6) Product Descriptions

Our website contains general information regarding our products including approximate dimensions, features, colours, weights and size guides. However, this information is a guide only and we reserve the right to alter product descriptions at any time without notice as further information comes to hand regarding products.

Due to photographic limitations, photographic lighting, calibrations of different mobile devices, computers or other output devices colours and representations of colour on images displayed on the Metromum website may vary on all devices.

Manufacturer’s may have slight variations in colour for each batch or shipment of product due to the nature of manufacturing processes.

Issues which are not regarded as a faults due to the nature of products and manufacturing processes:

- Colour difference between accessories and coordinating main products

- Timber products with variations in their grain, shades, colour stain and finish.  

7) Refusal to Supply 

MetroMum reserves the right to refuse or discontinue supply or reject your purchase at any time. In this event your order will be cancelled and your monies paid refunded in full. 

In the event of a pricing error or incorrect stock availability on our website, we reserve the right to refuse to supply the goods.  In this event your order will be cancelled and your monies paid refunded in full.

8) Intellectual Property Rights

All copyright and other intellectual property rights in all text, images and other materials on this website are the property of Metro Mum. Images of products and all copyright and intellectual property relating to same are the property of the relevant owner. No reproduction of any part of this website may be sold or distributed for commercial gain nor shall it be modified or incorporated in any other work, publication or website.

If these Terms and Conditions are not accepted in full, the use of this site must be terminated immediately
