This product is designed for children to learn to cut their own food safely. It will cut any food that a conventional knife will, from a tomato to a steak, but it won’t cut those precious little fingers.
With a moulded plastic handle and a blade of tumbled stainless steel, it ingeniously cuts using a sawing action and is NOT sharp. Suitable for left and right handed children, and has even proven to be beneficial for adults or children with disabilities.

this is a wonderful idea, my daughters,3 and 2 years, love to cut their own fruit. I love the idea they can do this safely, without me holding my breath incase of an accident. Have used these at kinder and cant wait to use them at home, am disappointed they are out of stock but am waiting for new stock. Will be the first in line!! We bought one of these knives at the Melbourne Baby and Children's Expo many years ago. What amazed me about it was that my 3 year old could cut up raw vegetables, including carrots, yet when I tested its edge and sliced it hard against the soft tissue of my palm (below the pinky finger) it hardly made a mark, let alone cut me. After 8 years of daily use by my kids the handle finally fell apart and I am ordering three more, one for my now 4 year old, one for my best friend's two year old and one for my classroom (I am a primary school teacher).
